Montage Resort Gearing Up for Holidays

The upscale Montage Beach Resort, one of the biggest tourist draws of Laguna Beach, is set to offer a variety vacation and rental packages as families set off to spend the holidays in coastal California.
In the next few weeks up to the end of the year, the oceanfront resort will offer Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve specials at all its signature establishments. Among the first and most notable are The Ballroom, The Studio, and the Loft Bistro.
The Loft Bistro, an intimate bar featuring panoramic coastal views, will start offering a la carte selections from afternoon to evening. The Loft, its adjoining restaurant, will also open a takeout menu for those who want a home holiday table.
People seeking more high-end accommodations can go to The Studio, the resort's flagship restaurant. Located on top of a Pacific bluff, the restaurant will offer a five-course holiday tasting menu with optional wine pairings, starting at $115 per person.
The Ballroom, an entertainment lounge known for its live music and artsy crowd, has also come out with a holiday buffet, complete with options for both children and adults. Over the holidays, it will feature 10 presentation stands and regular live entertainment.
Vacation homes throughout Laguna Beach are also joining the trend with family packages and discount rates. Many beaches are also staging special holiday events in a bid to attract both tourists and locals.
Laguna Beach officials hope to revitalize local tourism and increase the demand for home rental after a slow travel season. Room rates were down by 11% across the city this summer as local tourism suffered a major blow from the U.S. recession.
